Starting from this issue, Fraction Magazine Japan will become an annual publication focusing on presenting photographers from East Asia.

The world is in the midst of a major paradigm shift, and photographers aren’t just cutting out slices of the reality in front of their eyes. They also show us a world that cannot readily be explained in words: their premonitions, convictions and ideals, their pain and their sadness. When we come in contact with such photos, they call forth various emotions within us. Perhaps it is an encounter with a new world.
